Mysideline – Online Management System 

I don't have a Mysideline Account, what do I do?

MySidleine is the new system designed specifically for our sport. It’s an all-in-one competition management system that allows associations to manage membership, fixtures, and events.  To register a team or a player, you need an NRL account.  Watch the following video for all the details:

Senior/Adults Competitions

How Do I Register?

You can register into our competitions via an easy online registration process through Touch Football Australia’s new system MySideline. See the ‘Get Involved’ page for registration details.

Do I Need To Be In A Team To Register?

No you don’t. We accept individual registrations. Just send an email to admin@wallsendtouch.com.au if you would like us to find you a team.​

When Can I Play?

We run two (2) senior/adult competitions every year, a Spring competition that runs from approximately February through to June, and an Autumn competition that runs from approximately August through to December. We play on Monday (Mens and Mixed), Wednesday (Mens and Womens)​.

How Long Does The Competition Run For?

Depending on the start date and season of competition, each senior/adult competition can run for anywhere from 12-14 rounds and then 2 weeks of finals.​

What is the duration of the games?

The length of our games are 30 minutes, with no half time.  After each touch down, the teams swap ends and run the opposite way.  Players can sub at anytime throughout the game.

NOTE – Sometime we may need to reduce to game time to 25 minutes if we are running double headers or other factors that are affecfting the full 30 min game length.

What Time Will I Be Playing?

The senior/adult competitions fixtures are formulated randomly, and you will play at a range of different times throughout the competition. The time slots can vary from competition to competition depending on the number of teams, generally the first game will start at 6:00pm, with the last game starting at either 7:20pm or 8:00pm.​

Once the fixtures for your grade have been created you will be notified, this is usually in the week leading up to the start of the competition. These fixtures will then be available to view online using MySideline, accessed through our website.

How Many Players Can Be In A Team?

There is a minimum number of nine (9) players required to be registered in a senior/adult team, with a maximum of fourteen (14) allowed. There are six (6) players allowed on the field at any one time, with four (4) being the minimum number required to start a game.​

Can My Kids Play With Me?

To be eligible to play in the senior competition, you must be turning twelve (12) year of age, at any time during the competition.​

Do I Already Need To Know How To Play?

No. There are always teams in every competition that are in this boat and we have lower grades to cater for this.​

Do I Need To Wear A Uniform?

Everybody in your team must wear the same colour shirt with a number on the back. The colour, design, style etc. of the shirt is up to your team.

When Does The Junior Competition Start?

Our junior competition usually starts on the last Tuesday of August.

Does My Child Need To Be In A Team To Register?

No you don’t. We accept individual registrations. Please see the ‘Get Involved’ section of our website for details on how to register your child.

What Day Will My Child Play?

Our junior competition is played on a Tuesday night.​

How Long Does The Competition Run For?

Our junior competition usually starts on the last Tuesday of August, we do not play during the school holidays, and the grand final is usually in mid-December.​

What Time Will My Child Be Playing?

What Divisions Are There?

Wallsend Touch runs both boys and girls competitions in the following divisions:
7 & Under
9 & Under
11 & Under
13 & Under
15 & Under

Boys, girls, and mixed [all gender] (played within the boys competition) competitions are run in all of the above age divisions.

What Division Should My Child Play In?

As long as your child is not older than the division’s age, they can play in that division, with the age divisions listed above being inclusive of the age in their name. For example, if your child turns 12 at any point during the year, then they can play in the 13 & Under and 15 & Under divisions, but not the 11 & Under division.​

How Many Players Can Be In A Team?

For 11 & Under and older divisions, there is a minimum number of 9 players required to be registered in a team, with a maximum of 14 allowed. For 9 & Under and 7 & Under, there is a minimum number of 8 players required to be registered in a team, with a maximum of 15 allowed.

For the 11 & Under and older divisions, there are 6 players allowed on the field at any one time, with 4 being the minimum number required to start a game. For 9 & Under and 7 & Under divisions, there are 5 players allowed on the field at any one time, with 4 being the minimum number required to start a game.

What Is The Cubs Program?

The Cubs Program has been created to nurture our newest and youngest touch players, and assist to develop basic skills and learn the basic rules of touch football. For more information see the Cubs Program FAQ’s.

Does My Child Already Need To Know How To Play?

No. There are always teams in every competition that are in this boat.​ Wallsend Touch also offers skill sessions to new players prior to the competition commencing.

Does My Child Need To Wear A Uniform?

Wallsend Touch will provide every registered player with a playing singlet, covered in the registration costs, these singlets must be worn when playing. In addition, fully enclosed footwear, such as joggers or football boots, must be worn. Shoes with studs or cleats are allowed, however, they must be moulded, no screw in metal studs or cleats.

My Child Doesn't Have a Team But Would Like to join a Team With Their Friends. How do we advise you of this?

When your child registers there will be a question asking you their friends names.  We will then know to place them altogether.  You will be contacted closer to the start of the comp advising what team they have all been placed into.

What age group will my child play in?

The age divisions offered in our junior competition are:
7 & Under (Turning 7 or younger in year of Competition)
9 & Under (Turning 9 or younger in year of Competition)
11 & Under (Turning 11 or younger in year of Competition)
13 & Under (Turning 13 or younger in year of Competition)
15 & Under(Turning 15 or younger in year of Competition)
