2024 Junior Comp

 

NOTICE – Registrations have now closed for our Spring 2024 Junior Comp.

Our next Junior Comp is August 2025.  Keep an eye on our social media for more information closer to that time.

We are very excited to open our registrations for our 2024 Junior Competition!
Please make sure you read all the details below prior to registering.  If you have any questions please head to the FAQ section as you might find the answer you need there, if not please make contact with us.

NOTE – Team registrations close at midnight, Sunday 18 August. Player registration will remain open until Round 3.

  • Under 15 Division Changes –

To allow for the expansion of our younger age groups and support progression into our senior competition, we have moved our 15s and Under divisions to be part of our Wednesday night comp from 2024. Fees will be the same and junior singlets to be worn. We will accept both individual players and teams.

COMPETITION DETAILS 

WHEN – Tuesday Nights – Starts 27 Aug 2024
WHERE – Upper Reserve, Wallsend Touch
HOW MANY ROUNDS – 10 Rounds plus Semis and Finals
GAME TIMES – Depending on team numbers, first game is usually 5pm.
GAME LENGTH – 25 min games.
REGISTRATION – Players must be registered to take the field. Refer below for details.
ROUNDS –
  • Round 1 – 5: 27 Aug to 24 September
  • School holidays: 30 Sept to 11 Oct – NO GAMES
  • Round 6 – 10: 15 Oct to 12 Nov
  • Semis – 19 Nov
  • Grandfinal – 26 Nov

NOTE – If there are any wash outs, these dates may change and competition maybe extended.

Divisions –

Girls and Boys (age turning in 2024)
  • 7s and Under
  • 9s and Under
  • 11s and Under
  • 13s and Under

We accept teams and Individual players looking to join a team

CUBS Program – 4/5/6 year olds new to touch football (Starts Term 4 on Tuesday nights also – Date TBA)

 

Fees –

ACTIVE KIDS VOUCHERS ACCEPTED

Our Junior Comp fees for 2024 are:

  • $80 Wallsend Touch Registration fee per player (This fee does not include a playing singlet. Please use your singlet from 2023, or new singlets will be available for purchase for $25 at clubhouse prior to comp. Details TBA)
  • $22 Touch Football Australia National Annual Membership Fee per player. For more information – TFA Announces a New National Membership Model – Touch Football Australia
  • $60 for 6 week CUBS Program also includes a shirt and ball

NOTE –

  • Officials will be undertaking player rego checks from Round 1. Please ensure your child is registered.
  • Registration fees are not refunded once a player takes the field

Compulsory Playing Singlets –

HAS YOUR CHILD STILL GOT THEIR REVERSIBLE SINGLET FROM OUR 2023 JUNIOR COMP?
To reduce costs for families and minimise clothing waste on our environment, your child is able to wear their reversible singlet from 2023 in our upcoming Junior Comp.
If the junior player is new to Wallsend Touch…. or the singlet doesn’t seem to fit anymore…. or you just can’t seem to find it, don’t despair… you will be able purchase a new or second hand one prior to start of the Junior Comp.
New Junior Singlets are $25 and can be purchased from our clubhouse on the skill day below, or on the competition night.

Representative Trials –

  • Date and Time – TBA (Normally after Round 2)

Your child is invited to come trial for our junior rep teams!  We would love to see all our junior park players have a go! Keep an eye on our social media pages for all the details.

 

How to register to our Junior Comp- 

Register a team

Do you have a team organised and are read to register?  No payments are needed to register a whole team (players pay when registering to team).

Individual players looking to join a team

Don’t have a team?  Would your child love to join one? We can help find a team for them.
Click on the relevant age group below and register their details.  You will be contacted around a week before the comp starts with information regarding the team they have been allocated to.

 

CUBS Program:

Starts Tuesday 15 October 2024 – First week of Term 4
This program is for 4/5/6 year old players looking to learn new skills and how to play touch footy.
No payments needed at this stage
